Vilassar de Mar is a municipality in the Maresme region, in the province of Barcelona. Located 5km from the city of Mataró and only 24km from Barcelona.
Traditionally it was a fishing village and nowadays it still conserves some typical buildings of the time. Destination known for its large Market of the Flower and Ornamental Plant, and its rose plantations. The town has several museums, one of them, for example, dedicated to the navy. In this town you can find several historical buildings dating from the sixteenth century until now.
It is an ideal place to enjoy both the beach and the mountains. You will discover many activities in which to participate, activities to do, sports to practice and without forgetting its great Mediterranean kitchen.
